Finally – welcome to my new blogstrange, its like writing the first page of an exercise book when you were a kid at school; make sure there are no mistakes, keep within the margins and lines, check spelling and do not use the rubber at all costs!!I’m just going to start off with a few things…. until I get the jist of all thisjust to let you know most of the postings will be related to my artwork, some funny thoughts and ocassionally items that are pertinent to my liferecapping on the last week oh so….. haven’t quite finished my mixed media piece titled ‘hymns to swear by’ – I haven’t yet decided on the last two words; maybe to go with the swearing aspect or to tame it slightly. I gave it its first public viewing on Saturday night when friends from

Wales (martin & clare) and (keith & mandy) turned up for a meal. Martin liked the craftmanship of the piece, keith didn’t mind his P&Q’s (this sparked off another idea for a piece of work which i am currently sketching out) I don’t think clare was as impressed – will have to get back to you about thisthe portaits of John are almost finished – following a graphite drawing that he asked me to do for his new website/ album cover(!) i am producing 3 different looks of john – small scale: 10cm x 13cmon the painting front -working out final design/layout for my salt and pepper pot painting (continuing on from ‘Fred’ – abusive household objects) i am very excited about the idea of painting 24 portraits in 24 days and have started to organise 6 of the portraits and have made preliminary sketchesjust to fill you in….I’m looking for people to send my portraits – these should hopefully be pulling funny faces – I’ll post an example very soonwell I’ve started….
