British celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay
has been seriously injured in his kitchen – after his genitals were set alight because he wasn’t wearing any underwear. The TV star admits he was in “absolute agony” after the accident last week (ends31Aug07), which saw him rushed to a private London hospital for burns treatment. And Ramsay, 40, admits he didn’t tell friends the real reason behind his hospital visit, blaming the medical emergency on a knee injury. He explains, “I was standing too close to the hob when I was cooking. I was wearing these cotton trousers underneath I was going commando.Suddenly I felt this searing heat.
My b**ocks were burning. “I went to the hospital because of the excruciating pain. I had an ultrasound and I get the results on Friday (07Aug07).
“People think I went in for a knee injury.” – A knee jerk response!!

‘surfing the net’, well spending time looking at what’s out there, I came across this site – I love the concept and the wire sculptures produced. In the past, during my teaching, I have used modelling wire as a material for students to create figures with (I will post an example in the not to distant future) and I think I will show these wire sculptures to inspire my students. Enjoy looking at the art work – I have posted an example of the wire sculptures and a link to the site.

Just for fun – another blog site which artwork is produced based this time on the humble skull – what a great idea, simple as skulls are everywhere; especially in our house – JJ loves them on his clothing, all T shirts must have one somewhere and his love of the natural world usually results in some kind of skull finding itself into the garden. Again, I have posted some examples and the link to the site, enjoy, I’m intending to send in a few examples myself.

A visit down to Devon, only for a weekend, but very busy and hard work, but enjoyable. Managed to get down to the sea and having a camera with me took some ‘piccies’, when downloaded they look ok so I thought I’d share them –

I mentioned that I had been on my travels – well, we spent time with Hu and Sue in Wales relaxing and of course, some building work – renovation of the big barn; knocking down walls and rebuilding them – its very good for the soul. I thought I would include a few images of the cottage and barn, we find this our place to de-stress and after nearly 20 years of being involved in its renovation and spending evenings drinking and talking it feels like our second home. In fact, Hu and Sue are our third parents!

The ‘big barn’ although only one end can be seen in the photograph. The cottage was originally in this state!

Just taking time out to have a look at the site now that I’ve changed the appearance – home page now having small gallery and the artwork pages looking a lot more proffessional, although I’m still working on updating the links page.
Spent a lot of time over the past few weeks doing a bit of travelling and visiting folks. Some images to upload in the future!
Also been building an office for Jo – images to follow – a bit boring for most but they will be posted onto the shed uk site! (just for fun)
anyhow, just a short one – loads to upload and comment on later
