paul talbot is an artist who works within the field of painting, where text-based art is predominant. talbot also utilises the benefits of mixed media, printmaking, and copper to create pieces which viewers may be challenged or walk away laughing

 

graduating in 1987 from maidstone college of art, with a fine arts ba (hons) degree paul talbot entered the world of teaching after gaining a pgce at bretton hall, where he met his future wife, Jo.

His role as art teacher rapidly developed to head of department, then head of faculty, to becoming an advanced skills teacher, and finally to the role of deputy head at a special needs school, where he also served as head of sixth form. This meant that there was little time for creating his artwork.

recently he has worked as teacher of nurture following two years of teaching art, photography, and food technology after relocating to yorkshire.

now retired, he has had a bespoke studio built where he can create full-time

he has gone on to commercially exhibit selling pieces from each of his themes/projects throughout galleries, art fairs in the uk, europe, america and asia; building up a varied client base.

he is a member of wypw and vaa
