'a tantalising glimpse'
this painting went through different stages, it's still not quite right, a little tinkering, maybe - when i painted it, the concept was to give a brief, exciting, and appealing view of something that remains just out of reach, creating a desire or curiosity. hopefully, it evokes a sense of wanting to see more because the initial view is so attractive, but the full picture is not yet available, but on reflection, it doesn't do that for me now!
fomo occurs when a celebrity, influencer, or social media endorsement triggers a sudden, unplanned purchase by a consumer. this happens because endorsements can build brand trust, create a sense of social pressure or "FOMO" (fear of missing out), and evoke positive emotions like pleasure and excitement that override rational decision-making.
in other words buy me....
the 'pure' series that explores short phrases or sentences. they are simple to look at, yet they can hide a complex process of colour choices, positioning and relationship to the text.
there's a saying that a picture paints a thousand words, but sometimes a phrase or a selection of words can raise questions or take you on a journey. it all depends on the words used and what order they are placed. it's an adventure creating vivid images from my weirdly fascinating mind, which is not always pure!
or in fact, the words just might make you smile
