'baring all'

get down and get naked ...... a simple cover up for surbiton!

in real terms baring all allows you to reveal everything, most commonly referring to exposing one's body, but also used metaphorically to mean divulging one's thoughts or secrets. the phrase can be literal, such as posing nude for a photo shoot, or metaphorical, like confessing one's innermost feelings. the verb "to bare" means to uncover or expose. it is an 'in' joke within my household that owing to the wood burner in my studio being so efficient, i sometimes reduce my clothing - 'the naked artist, what a horrible image that must conjure up for some!

the artwork reflects the interplay of text responding to a chosen word or theme connected to the hidden perpendicular placement of a connected word. the intention is that the viewer has to search the text to enable them to locate the ‘hidden word’, giving that ‘ah ha’ moment; once the hidden message has been deciphered, it will always be seen, hence the phrase "once seen".

the manipulation of typography drifts across the surface, creating cryptic messages that describe facets of the selected word
