'bits n bobs'
following on from the theme of naked, privacy and the feeling of being free. many years ago when staying on the greece island of naxos we ventured to be a little riske and strip off and lay on the beach, only to find it was a private beach and not for nude bathing - that's never happened since or will ever happen again!
the artwork reflects the interplay of text responding to a chosen word or theme connected to the hidden perpendicular placement of a connected word. the intention is that the viewer has to search the text to enable them to locate the ‘hidden word’, giving that ‘ah ha’ moment; once the hidden message has been deciphered, it will always be seen, hence the phrase "once seen".
the manipulation of typography drifts across the surface, creating cryptic messages that describe facets of the selected word
