'bothered'
well i reached that age and status in life - and after years of being pleasant, polite and at times treated like shit, i can finally say that i don't give a fuck. to be honest, there is still a descent person in me and even if i feel and say that i don't give a fuck, i probably do. a very good and old friend of mine once said "basically we are nice chaps, and the arseholes we pretend to be" thanks to him there always has been personal boundaries that one might want to cross!
mad as a box of frogs is an eclectic series of original works intricately contained within a defined box frame size. the words and phrases used may resonate with people, situations, or even abstract concepts. the content often weaves together elements of humour and confrontational themes. many pieces creatively manipulate the shape and form of the text itself, drawing the viewer's attention. the artwork explores various themes through a mixed media approach. while the phrase evokes a visual image, it is not meant to be taken literally.
it serves as a figure of speech that reflects the work that excites me and ideally captivates the viewer as well.
