'busy doing nothing' is a response to the hours spent in my studio - which is not really the case, the art 'pottering' balanced with research, angst and experimenting all part of daily life (as well as really good coffee!)
part of the pure series that explores short phrases or sentences. they are simple to look at, yet they can hide a complex process of colour choices, positioning and relationship to the text.
there's a saying that a picture paints a thousand words, but sometimes a phrase or a selection of words can raise questions or take you on a journey. it all depends on the words used and what order they are placed. it's an adventure creating vivid images from my weirdly fascinating mind, which is not always pure!
or in fact, the words just might make you smile
