'covid conversion'

well it was a strange time, stay at home was the phrase, well we did, i taught on line so did jo. we moved into rented accommadation before moving to yorkshire. it seemed that any space was being used, the humble shed, for many years was a wooden hut at the end of the garden gathering cob-webs and old stuff were being converted into home bars or in many places new sheds being erected to house a family outside space. i personally, had already converted my shed to an art studio with the traditional storage area. this piece reflected the covid demands of outside spaces.

covid-19 lockdowns accelerated the trend of converting garden sheds into home offices, known as "shoffices," for remote working. post-pandemic, this practice remains popular for creating a separate, productive workspace and can also add value to a property. sheds, garages and conservatories rose by 16% in 2020 compared with the previous year.

mad as a box of frogs is an eclectic series of original works intricately contained within a defined box frame size. the words and phrases used may resonate with people, situations, or even abstract concepts. the content often weaves together elements of humour and confrontational themes. many pieces creatively manipulate the shape and form of the text itself, drawing the viewer's attention. the artwork explores various themes through a mixed media approach. while the phrase evokes a visual image, it is not meant to be taken literally.

it serves as a figure of speech that reflects the work that excites me and ideally captivates the viewer as well.
