'good or bad day'
some days you can reflect positively what has occured, others.... well basically can be defined as shit.
however, this piece can be spun in both directions - we can decide for ourselves at the end of each day, mine, whilst writing this has been mostly positive, so yes a good day.
whether a day feels good or bad is always subjective. it’s shaped by energy or fatigue, momentum or stagnation, small moments and larger events. and the truth is — both kinds of days are normal, inevitable.
tools like good day / bad day help me notice patterns: what drains, what restores, what i might need more (or less) of. not in pursuit of constant positivity, but in understanding how routines, support, and a bit of mindfulness can tip the balance.
it’s not about avoiding bad days — just learning how to navigate the mix. see my 'well well series'
‘answers on a postcard’ is the series that extends and develops from the ‘mad as a box of frogs’ series. it’s a dilemma - original or a limited edition of your work is a question that often has conflicting answers; in this case original, is that weird? as someone who loves words, phrases and humour this work combines all three. theses phrases make me laugh and so hopefully the viewer can get a giggle from them too. they are hand-painted on either canvas, paper or board; each one being finished with the aid of a model maker’s magnifying lamp and a 5/10 brush oh dear my poor eyesight!
