'groove armada' hit my 'playlist' and i was immersed, playing constantly in the studio loud and with the occasional foot tapping and swinging of the hips! it had a different working title, it became 'groove armada' after a an evening randomly meeting a small group of people in a pub in porthmadoc who were also meant to be attending a richard hawley gig in portmeirion the next day (another story...)

the 'pure' series that explores short phrases or sentences. they are simple to look at, yet they can hide a complex process of colour choices, positioning and relationship to the text.

there's a saying that a picture paints a thousand words, but sometimes a phrase or a selection of words can raise questions or take you on a journey. it all depends on the words used and what order they are placed. it's an adventure creating vivid images from my weirdly fascinating mind, which is not always pure!

or in fact, the words just might make you smile
