'innocent my arse'
as pure as the driven snow, as the saying goes - i could have used the word foot, but that wouldn't really work, would it. the idea that someone is telling a little white lie, hence the white painted text and background (purity) was the original thought process, as well as another way of producing artwork that contains the word (honesty). that's a lie" or 'i don't believe that at all'. it's a forceful way of expressing disbelief or scorn towards something someone has said, like saying 'nonsense!' in a very strong and rude way.
mad as a box of frogs is an eclectic series of original works intricately contained within a defined box frame size. the words and phrases used may resonate with people, situations, or even abstract concepts. the content often weaves together elements of humour and confrontational themes. many pieces creatively manipulate the shape and form of the text itself, drawing the viewer's attention. the artwork explores various themes through a mixed media approach. while the phrase evokes a visual image, it is not meant to be taken literally.
it serves as a figure of speech that reflects the work that excites me and ideally captivates the viewer as well.
