'just another day'

loosely based on the london printmaker martin langford. we have purchased a number of his works (i particularly like his obscure miniatures), one resonated with my wife, who at the time, was struggling with menopause, and she said that's how she felt most of the time. many have days that we could simply write off with a simple shouting of aaarrrrgggghhhh.

mad as a box of frogs is an eclectic series of original works intricately contained within a defined box frame size. the words and phrases used may resonate with people, situations, or even abstract concepts. the content often weaves together elements of humour and confrontational themes. many pieces creatively manipulate the shape and form of the text itself, drawing the viewer's attention. the artwork explores various themes through a mixed media approach. while the phrase evokes a visual image, it is not meant to be taken literally.

it serves as a figure of speech that reflects the work that excites me and ideally captivates the viewer as well.
