this is what started the series - a jump back in time to thoughts that i had at the time;
it’s been a strange old time – going through the lockdown, setting school work that the kids can access and enjoy doing, i often get it returned!
settling into our new house – stressful time moving during the first week of lockdown and getting used to a new place, the first in over twenty years.
following government advice only going out once a day, mainly to walk our blind old dog odie, but in doing so discovering areas that we hadn’t seen before, actually taking the time to look at our surroundings and more importantly enjoying the quietness and seeing/hearing nature.
it’s been some time since I painted, i have felt during this time the urge to paint again, a reflection of my daily walks and looking at what was around.
this painting is the first of a ten-part series based on lockdown – looking through the trees.
