'shepherds delight'
discovering model sheep that were the right scale was a game changer, and with access to a bandsaw (later banned from!) enabled these small series based on the word 'ewe', also, a model makers dream - fake grass to add to the texture oh yes....
mad as a box of frogs is an eclectic series of originalworks intricately contained within a defined box frame size. the words and phrases used may resonate with people, situations, or even abstract concepts. the content often weaves together elements of humour and confrontational themes. many pieces creatively manipulate the shape and form of the text itself, drawing the viewer's attention. the artwork explores various themes through a mixed media approach. while the phrase evokes a visual image, it is not meant to be taken literally.
it serves as a figure of speech that reflects the work that excites me and ideally captivates the viewer as well.
