'the a-z of fucks'
my father-in-law is a retired optometrist, so this has some factual element to it! i remember my first eye at school, i memorised the board from outside the library - i looked through the glass door and asked to do the eye test i just reeled off what i could remember (how sad is that!) its not until recently that i have required glasses for reading etc. iv'e always wanted to say swear words as i do an eye test, drop in thee occsional shit or twat as i go through the letters - however, never had the balls to do it and suffer the consequences.
an optician can refuse to continue an eye test if a patient's swearing or abusive behaviour poses a threat to the staff or others. while healthcare professionals are expected to show care and compassion, they are not obligated to tolerate abusive conduct.
mad as a box of frogs is an eclectic series of original works intricately contained within a defined box frame size. the words and phrases used may resonate with people, situations, or even abstract concepts. the content often weaves together elements of humour and confrontational themes. many pieces creatively manipulate the shape and form of the text itself, drawing the viewer's attention. the artwork explores various themes through a mixed media approach. while the phrase evokes a visual image, it is not meant to be taken literally.
it serves as a figure of speech that reflects the work that excites me and ideally captivates the viewer as well.
