'the naughty corner' is a third edition of this artwork; the others were previously sold. based upon our own 'naughty step' discipline activity for our young son at the time (currently he's 26!), although on reflection the step still made life around visible and wasn't a great deterrent! i do, however do put myself in the the naughty corner often, especially when a bout of swearing is forthcoming.....
the 'pure' series that explores short phrases or sentences. they are simple to look at, yet they can hide a complex process of colour choices, positioning and relationship to the text.
there's a saying that a picture paints a thousand words, but sometimes a phrase or a selection of words can raise questions or take you on a journey. it all depends on the words used and what order they are placed. it's an adventure creating vivid images from my weirdly fascinating mind, which is not always pure!
or in fact, the words just might make you smile
