'the original bollocks'

this was what really started me to develop the text based theme using pure text, taken from an early graphite drawing and using the palette which appeared on several paintings at the time. i later had it framed to be a bit more consistent with the presentation of my work.

this was one of the paintings that used to be hung in our lounge - one of the first words our son learnt! it's still one of my favourite paintings and currently have it hung on the main wall in my studio.

"bollocks" is a british vulgar term with a few meanings, most commonly used to mean nonsense or to express annoyance. it can also be used to refer to testicles, from which the other meanings are derived. the word is considered informal and offensive, and its use is largely restricted to british and irish english.

'forgetful people always seem to know they're forgetful'...... if they forgot that bollocks they might remember useful stuff
