'trio of walnut tealight holders'
following on from my little experiment with spalted beech and the tea light holder i turned recently…
i enjoyed making it so much that a set of six is already on the cards.
but before i get carried away, here’s the next instalment.
three walnut tea light holders.
same diameter. three different heights. a little trio with its own sense of rhythm.
each one has been hand turned from walnut, fitted with a brass insert and finished with carnauba wax, allowing the warmth and character of the timber to come through.
diameter: 8 cm heights: 8 cm · 11 cm · 14 cm
i like the simplicity of them. individually they’re quite quiet; together they have a presence.
and there’s something rather satisfying about making a set—repeating the process while allowing each piece to retain its own character.
