'x rated'
based on the concept of film ratings, as a kid the film categories were fairly simple x rated meant you had to be over 18, it promised a world of the unknown, sex, violence and swearing, i think the first x rated film i saw at the pictures was quadraphenia when i was fifteen i think.
an x rating is a film rating that indicates that the film contains content that is considered to be suitable only for adults. films with an x rating may have scenes of graphic violence or explicit sexual acts that may be disturbing or offensive to some viewers. get in my son!
mad as a box of frogs is an eclectic series of original works intricately contained within a defined box frame size. the words and phrases used may resonate with people, situations, or even abstract concepts. the content often weaves together elements of humour and confrontational themes. many pieces creatively manipulate the shape and form of the text itself, drawing the viewer's attention. the artwork explores various themes through a mixed media approach. while the phrase evokes a visual image, it is not meant to be taken literally.
it serves as a figure of speech that reflects the work that excites me and ideally captivates the viewer as well.
