pure is an ongoing project that explores short phrases or sentences. they are simple to look at, yet they can hide a complex process of colour choices, positioning and relationship to the text. there's a saying that a picture paints a thousand words, but sometimes a phrase or a selection of words can raise questions or take you on a journey. it all depends on the words used and the order they are placed. it's an adventure creating vivid images from my weirdly fascinating mind, which is not always pure! 

'it's all mapped out' - following relearning my screen printing skills i looked at how i wanted to develop my printmaking; making it new work not just a reproduction of my existing work. the ongoing series is based on a combination of text, memories, mindfulness, os maps and a little humour. each print is an edition of 17, hand-printed, and given a series header and individual title based on the map itself
